Samara Pardi – Samara’s passion for cooking developed at an early age. She grew up in a small beach town where her family grew their own vegetables, got pastured eggs from neighbors, pastured meat directly from local farms, and seafood right from the dock from local fisherman. Her farther is an avid chef and involved Samara in the kitchen since she was old enough to see over the counter on a stool. By her early teens she was making full meals for her family and friends and has been cooking daily ever since. Most recently, she spent nearly a decade in the digital advertising industry in Silicon Valley, yet food always remained her passion. At the end of 2011, she decided to dedicate her career to all things food: procurement, preparation, nutrition, community outreach, writing and sustainable, healthy product design. In this time, she has created a food / lifestyle blog called ‘The Daily Avocado’ and contributed to the Dan’s Plan’s food-focused content in the form of recipes and cooking guidance. She completed a course on community-supported kitchens at Three Stone Hearth in Berkeley, CA, a business that sells prepared food that aligns with the Weston A Price philosophy. Her mission is to develop content, products and educational materials that harmoniously connect her love for food preparation, food cultures, food craftsmanship and healthy families and communities. Samara Pardi earned a fine arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
